|
All Employers Must Post a New Federal Labor Law Poster By This Date!
President Bush signed the Fair Minimum Wage Act of 2007 on May 25, 2007. The new law will increase the Federal Minimum Wage by $2.10 to $7.25 an hour over the next two years. The first phase of the increase takes effect July 24, 2007 when the Federal Minimum Wage becomes $5.85 an hour. The last increase was in 1997.
Federal law requires ALL U.S. employers covered by the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) to post the new Minimum Wage. Your current Federal Labor Law Poster will be out of compliance effective July 24, 2007, and must be replaced.
